Supported legislation to ban animal fighting, to improve animal shelter standards and operations.
Supported ban on private possession of wolves and wolf-dog hybrids.
Education effort to inform New Mexicans on the link between animal cruelty and domestic violence.
Prohibited the Federal Animal Services/Animal Damage Control from killing predators on state trust lands in 26.
Prohibited the killing or removal of rattlesnakes from state trust land during the Annual Rattlesnake Roundup in Alamogordo.
Protected habitat for Lesser Prairie-Chicken by partnering with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Natural Resource Conservation Service, and grazing lessees.
Protected habit for endangered plants-Pecos Sun Flower--on Trust lands by working with other agencies and lessees.
2000 Milagro Award for Humane Education awarded by Animal Protection of New Mexico.
