Rio Rancho, signed a Joint Planning Agreement to master plan 1,800 acres of state trust land. Town of Edgewood, signed a Development Agreement to plan a new town center on 600 acres of state trust land. Santa Fe County, submitted the master plan for the development of San Cristobal Village on 1,800 acres of state trust land. New Mexico, study on sand and gravel mining issues, implemented the statewide Task Force for the study authorized by the state legislature. Near Espaņola, a new Teen Center was constructed on leased state trust land at Arroyo Seco. Tierra Madre, the first residents moved into their completed homes at the affordable housing project in Sunland Park. Tierra Madre is designed to help alleviate a shortage of affordable homes along the U.S.-Mexico border. Held quarterly meetings with land users and special interest groups (environmental, oil and gas, agricultural, mining, archaeologists, and sportsmen) to gather input for decision making.
