  • New Mexico, study on sand and gravel mining issues, implemented the statewide Task Force for the study authorized by the state legislature.
  • Near Espaņola, a new Teen Center was constructed on leased state trust land at Arroyo Seco.
  • Tierra Madre, the first residents moved into their completed homes at the affordable housing project in Sunland Park. Tierra Madre is designed to help alleviate a shortage of affordable homes along the U.S.-Mexico border.
